West Coast National Park

From 1 August to 30 September each year the Cape West Coast erupts in a floral splendour. The West Coast National Park and lagoon is a breathtaking focal point.

During flower season the park opens up Postberg Reserve, a contractual park neighbouring the WCNP.
It is a magical space and very rich in fauna and flora. The largest concentra- tion of mammals found in the West Coast National Park is in the Postberg Reserve.

However mammals are found throught- out the rest Eland, red hartebeest, Cape grysbok, caracal and rock hyrax are some of the species to search for.

Visitors should also keep an eye on the Atlantic Ocean for passing whales and dolphins.

During flower season Geelbek offers a special buffet and picnic packs to ensure flower lovers spend most of their time out in nature. Flower season is a great attraction therefore be advised to book in advance.
